To see

I was reading about the word “see” in a resource book called the Strong’s Concordance.  The  Hebrew background to this word was helpful to apply at end of life situations.

The definition includes the descriptions:  to appear, approve, behold, have experience, gaze, take heed and to look on one another.

There are times in my work where I help clients and families to “see” what is happening as the journey of life and death are going on in front of their eyes.  Asking people to watch (see) events unfold in front of them include both tragedy and beauty.  Experiencing, gazing and taking heed are BIG concepts as end of life goes on.

Seeing life and seizing the moment, as it is, can be a huge reward and encouragement during a grief filled phase of life.
