Pets

I just want to acknowlegde how important pets are in our lives.  Watching this beautiful connection in my home makes me more in tune to pets in a home where there is a dying client.

Dogs, cats, birds, rabbits…any kind of animal that is being cared for by “you” will be influential to the dying person.  There are emotions they are sensitive to, a scent that can lead them to attend to you and behaviors that are crucial to comforting a dying person.

All I know, is these little creatures need to be a part of life and dying and death…think about camaraderie, warmth, comfort and devotion.  It is beautiful to see and hope for in your own life!
