What is enough?  In particular as a reward for working in end of life care.

There are many rewards in the verbal sense.  Affirmations go a very long way.  Then at times, it seems as though the compliments become scary.  They are received and give motivation.  Yet…are words temporary?

What would actually make a difference in the long run for caring for people at the end of life?  What reward causes a person to keep doing this kind of work?  If it so unique, why does it feel like compliments are not enough?

Guess I may need a nap!
